Do these three things every day and be happy.

It is said by many teachers that if you do something for the mind, something for the body, and something for the soul every day you will live free and happy. Miracle mornings takes this same concept into account. Encouraging their readers to stop pushing snooze and start pushing themselves towards their fullest potential. In one hour they suggest doing Meditation, Visualization, Affirmations, Exercise, Reading, Journaling. This is their road map to success. I believe in adjusting the routine to how it makes you feel and what works best for you but with that said how you spend the first hour that you are awake will determine the rest of your day. So choose wisely.

Three favorite books this month:

There is no competition when it comes to self-improvement. Every day simply read as much as you can for 10-20 mins. Give the words time to settle in your soul. Digest them. Make them part of you.

The Four winds by Kristen Hannah is an inspiring story of women in the dust bowl at the height of the depression. It is an emotional hero's journey that shows the strength and grit of the women back in those days. It's about standing up for what you believe in even if you have to die for it. I highly recommend this inspiring story.

Silence: The power of quiet in a world full of noise by Thich Nhat Hanh. Thich Nhat Hanh is such a gentle spirit. This book is valuable information on how to stay present and have effective communication with the world and people around you. Simply by reading this book I became relaxed.

Broke Open: A memoir about the journey to health by LeLa Becker. I do not just recommend this book because I wrote it. I recommend it because there is a need in this world for people to hear it. It is a book that teaches how to process trauma and live a free life.

And, I'm super proud of myself for completing such a wonderful and inspiring piece.

I have everything I need
I am loved
I am abundant
I am calm
I am safe

Unlike Affirmations when you are saying a statement to yourself, afformations are tricking your brain to come up with an answer to a question. This "life-hack" is when the brain will ruminate on a subject until it has come up with the right answer. Although when I think of this I think that we are more like supercomputers than we think, it is -unfortunately- the basis of anxiety, insomnia, overthinking, and small thinking. Because a non-stop chitta in the brain mixed with insecurities can bring up a lot of feelings. But that put to the side AFFORMATIONS can be quite useful.

I wonder what it would be like to be with a partner that actually desires me?
What if I recieved an extra $20,000.00 in the bank this month? I wonder what that would feel like?
How would I feel if I was 20lbs lighter? What would my day to day look like then?

By asking yourself these questions your brain will start to search for solutions. This is a good way to hack your brain to send the proper neurochemicals into your system to mimic the feelings that would be present when these questions have been answered.

To all you sleepy heads, snoozers, sighers, spirit seekers, and singers in your showers this one is for you. I crave to live in a world that is inspired and inspires in return. Have a good day.
